CBSE schools to hike fees by 20-25%

Educational fee in CBSE schools across the condition would increase by 20 to 25 per cent the next educational year, as a new pay range has been declared for instructors in these institutions run by private industry conduite.

The present fee framework varied from Rs 6,000 to Rs 75,000 yearly based on features and other features. Though the local govt required that the educational organizations pay the school incomes at par with those of govt educational organizations, the Kerala CBSE educational organizations management organization (KCSMA) refused the demand. They instead pushed for a individual lowest wage framework, that was later accepted by the high court.

As per this, those training up to standard VIII would be compensated at the least Rs 10,000, while instructors of sessions IX and X, at the least Rs 15,000, and instructors in mature additional educational organizations at the least Rs 20,000. However, the actual pay would rely on individual educational organizations and the experience of instructors.

KCSMA chief executive T.P.M. Ibrahim Khan told DC that the govt compensated incomes of instructors in educational organizations under them directly from the exchequer. This wage does not have any regards to the income of the school. This is not the case with unaided CBSE educational organizations that have to rely upon the fees gathered from students for paying the incomes. The govt wage framework is frequently being increased, Khan said.

CBSE schools In Gujarat about to conduct JEE instead of GujCet.

JEE 2013

The decision taken by the Gujarat government to conduct Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) instead of GujCET has been well accepted by schools. Despite AIEEE pattern and CBSE syllabus in JEE Main (2013) exam, students and teachers have appreciated the decision.
Some are thankful that some decision has been taken instead of leavingthem stranded. “True potential of our students will be judged in this common entrance test. Students nationwide will be competing with equal enthusiasm,” said Father Ferdinand Durai, principal of St Xavier’s School, Loyola Hall.
However, there are deliberations over the 85% seats reserved for students in Gujarat. “It is not clear whether the reservation is for students studying in Gujarat state board or students with domicile certificate,” said Kirit Joshi, principal of Diwan Ballubhai School.
On the CBSE syllabus and AIEEE pattern being considered, Devansh Agrawal, class XII student of the school in Gujarat Infocity said, “Syllabus of state board has been revised and is almost similar to CBSE syllabus.” He added that the present batch may face some problems. However, he felt, GujCET was an exam for average students not testing the competitive spirit.
In addition, there is a 50:50 ratio of class XII board exam and JEE Main marks being considered to decide the final merit list for admissions in engineering and pharmacy courses. On this, Raja Pathak, director of Satwa Vikas School said, now students will give importance to class XII board exams also which were earlier being neglected. Also, just one entrance exam will reduce stress among students.
Meanwhile, Hitendra Trivedi, principal of CN Vidyalaya said, “With objective type exam, understanding of concepts will be judged. Students will have to work more with CBSE syllabus being considered.”
Nevertheless, Archit Bhatt, managing trustee of Tripada group of Schools said the move will go against the students. It is not right to enforce such decisions. Conducting an exam with CBSE syllabus for state board students is not right.
“The exam in Gujarati, Hindi and English will give students a comfort level as language of the exam was a concern till now,” said Saroj Khubchandani, principal of HB Kapadia School.

CBSE class X result likely to be Declared on May 20

CBSE Exams Results 2011
The usual buzz around the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class X results, expected to come later this week, is missing this year.

Students are eagerly awaiting the CBSE results 2011 Class X and Class XII as the dates the result were expected to come by have gone.

Reports had earlier indicated that Class X results will be declared on May 16 and Class XII results will be declared on May 23. But speculation over the date of the result is high now.
Almost 8 lakh students have appeared for Class XII examinations and almost 11 lakh have appeared for the Class X exams with almost 6 lakh opting for Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation or CCE.

The results will be available at http://cbseresults.nic.in.

Most of the students say they already know their grades for the formative assessments and the first summative assessment.

With the CBSE replacing marks with grades in Class X, expectations, stress and anxiety levels among students and parents are minimal. When the Class X results will be announced — tentatively on May 20 — students will get to know their grades in each subject, plus the grade point and the Cumulative Grade Point Average.
“There is not much excitement,” said Rashi Dhingra from Apeejay School, Pitampura. “We won’t get to know the marks. And I already know the grades for FA I and II and SA-I.”

With the implementation of the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system in classes IX and X, the CBSE made Class X assessments entirely school-based. The Board also gave schools the freedom to frame their own datesheet this year. The schools, thus, conducted the assessments internally. For SA-II, the students could opt for either the school-based or the board-conducted assessment, except for students in secondary schools (schools with classes only till Class X), who had to appear for the board-based SA-II.
