With teachers running her with projects for every topic, the 14-year-old Laxmi nagar citizen says she hardly gets any spare time at home. “We are given at least five tasks for every topic. It’s not possible to finish them in school. I have to stay up delayed every night to finish them,” Kavita said.
Like Kavita, students learning in Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) educational institutions across the nation have been overwhelmed with projects. Even class X students have not been saved although CBSE board examinations are three months away. The reason: educational institutions have did not effectively apply the lately presented Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) plan.
The board’s aim in making changes to the curriculum and unburdening students has been beaten. Some schools were also discovered to be getting unreasonable number of pen and document assessments.
“Some instructors have not recognized the significance of continuous evaluation. They can use several ways of evaluation and not depend on assessments alone,” said the formal. Teachers were discovered to be regularly analyzing the casual behavior of learners in the name of analyzing behavior and principles. “Constant monitoring of clients’ behavior in harmful ways is extremely unwanted,” declares the alert.
Principal of DPS, said two schools in Delhi will look at how other town schools are analyzing students. “Despite alignment classes over the last three years, many educational institutions have not yet recognized the new way of evaluation,” said Bir.
